Coinbase Adds ‘Crypto Starter Pack’, Tackles Education

Coinbase, the crypto asset wallet and trading service provider that was founded in 2012, is to now offer a ‘Coinbase Bundle’ for crypto enthusiasts that are looking to gain diversified exposure to this space. The bundle offers five coins — Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin and Ethereum Classic.

The Coinbase ‘Bundle’

The benefits of this bundle are obvious, the user gets to diversify his or her investments, reducing the total volatility of their portfolio overall, while still promoting a chance of substantial returns.

Users can spread out their investment among various coins, without having to worry about doing it individually. The cryptocurrencies purchased in a bundle will appear in the Coinbase wallet and can be traded or sold as with every other wallet, reports TechCrunch.

Unlike the Coinbase Index Fund, which is aimed at institutional investors with a risk appetite of $250,000 to $20 million, this bundle is understandably aimed towards new crypto investors, with the starting price being as low as $25.

However, this feature isn’t truly impeccable until Coinbase diversifies by adding more cryptocurrencies. The company definitely is looking to add more coins to its network. Considering how popular the service already is amongst novice crypto investors, the addition of more coins will definitely bolster the growth of Coinbase and the crypto industry as a whole.

Crypto Education

Along with the bundles, Coinbase is to also launch tools, which help get prospective investors to understand this up and coming technology through the introduction of Coinbase Asset Pages.

However, the list contains the current assets available at Coinbase at the very beginning, hence making it unclear with the current position of these coins and their rankings.

The tool aims to provide “historic trading data, current market cap, a description of the cryptocurrency, and links to relevant white papers and project websites.”

Furthermore, for beginners who want to get their basics down, Coinbase has also launched a dedicated learning hub, where users can start learning the fundamentals of cryptocurrencies. Coinbase aims to introduce a wider audience to the crypto scene by answering simple crypto questions a beginner might have, adding to its user-friendly appeal.

The Coinbase Bundle is to be launched first in the US and Europe, with other regions following later. Moreover, the top 50 assets page and the learning hub are now live on the Coinbase web page.
